Postpartum sexual disorder

Welcome to sexy Thursday with Bami, where we talk about herbs, sexual health, and marriage.

Today's sexy Thursday is about low sexual desire due to childbirth, or postpartum sexual disorder if you prefer to call it that.
So, what is a postpartum sexual disorder? Well, it's a broad medical term for issues that affect a mother's sexual experience or desire after childbirth! It means, after you popped out your bundle of joy, you don't want sex. For some women, it takes months, some years, and sadly for some no time limit.
While studies have shown factors like breastfeeding, birth control, postpartum depression, extreme stress, mode of delivery can cause PSD, I would add birth trauma, emotional stress (blaming yourself for not wanting sex or your partner might be blaming you for not wanting sex with him)
Words like:  how come you don't want sex anymore? How come we don't do stuff anymore since you had the baby?
Our baby is turning 2 next month and you still don't want to have sex....... Hey, mama listen to me, it's not your fault.
